Alex Bogusky’s Keynote at Social Media Week New York City Part 1 on The BuzzBubble

May 1, 2012

In this special installment of The BuzzBubble, we are treated to Alex Bogusky's keynote at Social Media Week in New York City. In his speech, Alex shows us the earliest form of social media: writing on cardboard. We see some gems from his collection of signs he has purchased from homeless people, as he tells a narrative that links together this early form of communication, the new communication in social media, and the movements that have risen from it, proving that older forms of expression and physical gathering are not forgotten concepts. He examines the Occupy movement and, sharing his own experiences with big corporations alongside their messaging, explains some of the issues that face our society today.
